“In order to achieve SDG 12.4, but also the overarching objectives of the Agenda for Sustainable Development, such as an end to poverty, economic development, resource efficiency and climate change, a holistic approach to chemicals management is necessary. Sustainable chemistry is such an approach and integrates ecological, economic and social aspects into the decision-making process for the production and utilization of chemicals. To do justice to this approach and continue to foster networking, communication and the further development of sustainable chemistry, Germany’s federal government is planning to launch an autonomous international competence centre for sustainable chemistry (International Sustainable Chemistry Collaborative Centre ISC3) in May 2017.” For more details, follow: www.bundesregierung.de – Nachhaltigkeitsstrategie
At present, the Agenda is only available in German.
